Glenda Gertz, Attorney at Law
Glenda is a twenty-year resident of the Woodinville, WA area and a graduate of the University
of Washington School of Law. Glenda’s practice is focused on helping businesses and creative
individuals understand and manage their intellectual property rights. She is a member of the
Washington State Bar Association and a registered Patent Attorney. As the daughter of an
engineer and an artist, Glenda understands how to communicate with both technically-minded
and artistically-minded people. She puts special emphasis on listening to your concerns and
understanding your goals in order to create a personalized legal strategy for you.
As a law student, Glenda received several awards, including the Seed IP Law Group Founders’
Scholarship, which is awarded for excellence in intellectual property law. Glenda also
served on the staff of the Washington Law Review and published a student comment titled Copyrights in Faculty-Created Works: How Licensing Can Solve the Academic Work-For-Hire Dilemma.
Prior to attending law school, Glenda earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Molecular Biology at
UC Santa Barbara (BA) and Carnegie Mellon University (MS). She also has a Master’s of Education
from the University of Washington.
